New to Beaumonts and have a question or 2

I'm new to Beaumonts and this forum and have come across a 69 vin numbered 734379...... which had a 369 in it prior to previous owner getting the car. How can I confirm the original motor and options? Why are there so few 69 around verses the 67,68 years? Car has been restored in its life but needs some TLC in future, is this car worth purchasing?

Thanks

Get the documents from GM Vintage Vehicle Services. Will show manufacture date, shipping date, colour, trim, original dealer, options etc. Well worth the few bucks they charge.

Well I went and looked at the cars and what a bust!!!!! I can never understand why people always over sell their cars. I was told this needed paint as the clear coat was coming off...okay not a big deal! Get there and every, I mean every panel had rust bubbling thru if not thru. Engine only turned over, tuffed diamond interior on dash too,,,give me a break! A frame up restoration....don't think so and they were 3/4 hr late meeting us to go look.

Sorry but I was/maybe am a LITTLE ticked!!! Wasted four hours, fuel but had good conversation with a buddy.

Oh well on to the next find!

I hate it when that happens (and it happened to me a lot!). Do these people think you won't notice the crap when you see the car in person?

You guys are just too picky. What's a little rust? No biggy, right? It's just a little surface rust and it'd buff right out, or you could just clear coat it and leave the patina. What are guys looking for anyway, a 1000 point Concors D'Elegance car?

J/K

Nothing more frustrating than getting excited, driving 4 hours to find:
1. The guy sold it two hours before you arrived.
2. The car is nothing like what was advertised or described over the phone.
3. The guy decided not to sell the car but he has a 19##, rolled over, rusted, completely stripped POS that he rescued from a gully somewhere that would be an "easy restoration".
4. The guy doesn't bother to show up.

I think some people figure that if you drive 4 hours to see the car, you'll be so invested already that you'd buy a picture of the car you thought you were coming to see.
