Heater cable clamp question...

IMG_6812.JPG

Anyone have insight as to where to get the heater cable clamps (in my case for a 66 Beaumont)?IMG_7027.JPG  They look to be crimp on, but the dealerships... NAPA.. etc, don't seem to have them.

Try the dealer biggrin

We used to have a variation of that at our dealership. I can check some time this weekend but I think I finally tossed them a few years ago. They look a bit different but will work. They come in a GM heater control cable repair kit that GM used to sell. Besides the clamps, it had about 50' of cable and some bulk cable housing as well.

Tried 2 dealers, NAPA, Princess Auto etc. (Even Home Depot for a compromise.). No luck...

I was kidding about the dealer, it goes back to the washer fluid bottle thread!

Funny thing is that I would've bet the dealers would have the clamps vs the washer bottles!

Geoff

I still have the heater cable kits and quite a few clamps, call me at Kipp Scott on Monday and I think we can fix you up.

Like Carl said, they will look different but work.

1 844 810-6930  or 403 343-6633 ask for Gerry in parts.

I have a number of cables from 69/70 b body Pontiac's, if you provide the length of the cable and jacket I can see if I have one that fits.

Sorry Gerry... sidetracked. It was looking like I might be travelling from Edm to Calgary this week, but that is no longer the case. I am hoping to give you a shout by the end of the week.
thx again.

What? You do 3 days a week? I thought I had it made with 4........

Time for me to go see the boss.

How are you liking 3?

I'm enjoying it now since the spring came and I can work outside.

After 40+ years of going to work at 7-7.30 and the last 25 working basically from 6 - 6 I had a challenge with the Thursday.

When I did this in Oct 2016 and I don't have a heated garage I found it a little challenging keeping busy on that day.

Now I feel 3 days is enough, I have lots to do and people to visit - hospital - coffee etc. I don't think I could go back and do more than the 3 days.
