Looks nice. I forget what that color is called but you don't see it very often. If someone can get the VIN, the 7th digit indicates the assembly plant. Possibly St. Therese, or could be from the USA.

The Catalina and Laurentian shared the same interior. Notice the base steering wheel, and the lack of the plastic chrome piece behind the armrest.

I like it.

I don't follow 70 values very closely.

Will it bring that kind of money?

If it was a surviving Quebec car, it is very rare.

If it is truly the original owner, thats hard to find too.

From my understanding, the 1970 Quebec cars were low volume, low option cars, built as a ramp up to full production of the 71s

We know a full size car like this is a tough sell but a car owner has the right to ask what ever he wants.

You can save the demolition derbies for the thousands of Crown Vics out there biggrin

This thing about US models being built in Quebec in 70 is new to me. I didn't realize (or maybe have forgotten) that they did that. Same assembly line as Canadian models? That would seem odd.

From the information on Wikipedia it doesn't look like these were built in St. Therese.

Only the full size Chevrolets.

Yup, some 1970 Catalina's were built at the St. Therese plant by Montreal as shown by 67Poncho. The color of this car is the same as 67Poncho's 70 454 Safari Estate wagon.

I had the same thought but if it's out of the same plant, how would they separate them?

 7th digit is 2.   2 = St. Therese.     1 = Oshawa.

It would have been cool to take a tour in both St.Therese and Oshawa in 1970 to see the mixed bag of models being built. Beaumonts, Buick GS, Olds 442, GTO, Catalina....

Interesting.

Did plants shut down Sundays? I didn't think so but they must, otherwise there would be a 6th week.
