Todd, another one- no price

This one would make a great daily driver and you could still keep the Echo in the back. I'd rather have this than the Caddy.

I like it but I suspect it will look too much like a hearse to my wife.

A big wide red racing stripe would change that, on top all the way front to rear.

I  figured a hearse wasn't on the list so didn't post this one for $1500. Only 68,000 KM's too. Likely very dependale, they are the last ones to "let you down".

My neighbour Doc owns a Caddy hearse ... it came with a coffin (which he has to remove before his wife goes for a ride in it).

My suggestion:

Similar to the one we bought almost new 10 years ago, one of the nicest driving cars we have ever owned, has never let us down and I plan to get another 10 years out of it.  I would jump in ours tomorrow and drive to BC if I had to, it's been that reliable for us.  (It's also our newest car, FWIW).

Thanks MC. I might check that one out on Saturday. There's an Echo also in Summerside we want to check out. Does the Accord use a timing belt?

4 cyl has a timing chain (this car is the 4 cyl), V6 has the belt.

FWIW, the 4 cyl has iVTEC, which essentially gives it a boost on low end power, so it's just a nice all around car to drive.  Feels solid on the highway and very comfortable.  Also, 2007 being the last of the generation, no bugs to speak of as the factory has all that worked out by the end of the generation (I never like to buy a car on the first year of its introduction).

In comparison, I've driven a 2008 Accord (next gen) and I didn't like it nearly as much.  No low end power on the 4 cyl and seats very uncomfortable.

I'm thinking the car in the ad has been kept inside a lot as the headlights look nice and clear in the pics (mine has been outside the whole time and the headlights are starting to look foggy due to UV exposure).  Also has the bright exhaust finisher on it, so probably original exhaust (mine has original exhaust, which is in great shape, though the flanges are starting to look rusty). The bumper to panel gaps look good (though the pics aren't great) and I don't see any rust bubbles (again hard to tell from the pics).  Mine has zero rust, but I put Krown rust protectant on it almost from new.

Good luck if you decide to look at it, and if you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask.  I'll be away most of the afternoon but should be back this evening.

I'm meeting the owner at Walmart in Summerside tomorrow to have a look at it. He's an older fella. Says he bought it as a second car for his wife 6 months ago but now she is wheelchair bound and can't drive. He bought it off the original owner. It sounds like this could be the one as long as she's solid underneath. Thanks for pointing me to the ad!

Indeed. It was his insight about these cars that led me to the purchase.

Congrats on the purchase, Todd!

Darryl, yes, I like buying cars vicariously through you but you've slipped a little lately.  Don't worry I'll find you something else to buy soon... biggrin

Here it is. Nothing fancy but a nice looking car. Dig the fancy plastic wheel covers on the winter rims. smile

That's snow on the passenger seat. Didn't want anyone to think I had a severe dandruff problem. biggrin

It's been oiled a few times in the past. It's too cold for me to apply anything now but I will spray it good next fall. I did buy a can of aerosol Rust Check to hit the typical problem areas.
