looking for 65-70 B-Body Rear Coil Spring Hold Down

I'm looking for a couple of the cup type pieces shown in the right side of the photo below.  They go in the bottom of the rear coil spring to attach it to the lower control arm.    I don't need the 6 sided piece on the left side of the photo.

Can anyone help me out with a couple of them?

I'd be interested in finding a set myself.

Both still require a lot of work.

Moog sells them I bought a set for my 1981 Z28 camaro. I think they were called insulators. They are supposed to stop coil spring noise or squeaks.

Carl's link says it fits A body. Clint's picture shows 2 pieces. I put my hand up on the bottom of the spring on my car and it feels like it only has a piece like Carl's pic, no 6 sided piece like Clint's pic. However, when I look it up in the parts book, the A body part doesn't fit the B body. I was remembering that the B body used what Clint shows.

I'm real confused now...

I don't understand why you can't order "Impala" ?

I suspect the inner spring diameter must not be the same from pickup to B body to A body. That would be the only reason that makes sense.

I can't speak to 66, but I can guarantee you the 6 sided piece was used in 69 & 70. It sits on the lower control arm, then the spring on top of that, then the hold down sits within the spring to hold the spring in place.

I see in the photo's provided by 427carl & ABC123 there are 4 hold downs. 2 of them have the nut as part of the hold down, 2 of them with no nut.

For mine, the bolt goes through the hold down, through the 6 sided piece, through the lower control arm, then the lock washer & nut are on the bottom side.

I know exactly what you are looking for Clint, been there done that. All American Classics in Vancouver, WA has them for sale on Ebay. Not cheap (24.95 + 7.15 shipping USD price is for one) but all cleaned up for painting and installing.

Thanks Guys.

Mark, yes I considered All American Classics as I've bought from them before. The price is a little steep, but an option.

Vincent, I'm not in any big hurry so if you can scrub up a pair I'd certainly be interested.

I was surprised the pair I took out of my rust free convertible to be cracked, but it may also be the way I took them out. I had bottom attaching bolt loose, but still in the nut. I then dropped the diff and the springs fell over and the leverage split the hold downs. As I was putting in all new stuff (blasted and painted control arms, etc) I had a good set of hold downs to put in, but I'd like to have a pair for when I do the next car.

I have the hex pieces on on my 65 as well ...

Gang, I'm still looking for a pair (or possibly 2 pairs) of the rear spring hold down cups I posted above.

Can anyone help me out?

I got lucky finding a couple pairs of these. There was a 70 Impala in Pick-n-Pull earlier in the year that I was able to grab a pair from, then a 67 2+2 in Buck's a month or so ago. Fortunately the way the cars are up on lifts, so the differential is hanging below. Once the wheel/tire combo is removed, it's fairly easy to undo the bolts that hold these in. Care must be taken however to ensure the spring doesn't let go and take an arm off.

I'd forgotten about this post, but a little while ago I came across a set in my little scrap metal bin, and something told me I should probably hang onto them...

Hard to find now especially in rust prone parts of the country. I had to repair mine.
