My 2+2 is in Beaumont

I just noticed it on the Map, and thought that was funny.  Never even heard of Beaumont Alberta, but it's fitting!  Is that the town the cars are named after, or what's the origin I wonder?

I was told Canadian Pontiacs were named after a French connection...as in Parisienne, Laurentian, Beaumont(Quebec) Acadian etc.....regards Terry alias 4 speed

Beaumont is just SE of Edmonton, there's a 70 2+2 rag there that I've gotten lots of parts off of.

Re towns or cities named Beaumont, a friend of mine was really into Beaumont's, and wants to someday visit all the places in North America named Beaumont.
