I know of at least one member here who would like to own that car. It's just a bit scary because it looks like it could be hiding something.

I know the guy Tom who owns it, he's real honest and its a good original car, may be original paint. I have to think that's the original interior. Tom has posted here, he is the 58 GM man, has many 58's. If any one is interested, I'd be happy to take pics of the car. The car was on here in the past as a Kijiji ad, I'd say no one has looked at this car or they would buy it, I think that's a good price for a wagon?

That is encouraging. It's not often a car is without some bad secrets when it has a few areas on the outside that look a bit iffy. I'm sure everyone of us has gone to see a car that looked like it needed minor rust repair until we started digging...

From the small photo posted in the ad, I don't see anything bubbling out, like old bodywork going bad.  Looks more like inside to outside corrosion on original panels.  Better photos would help, though.

Don, if he is a member here, maybe suggest that he post it for sale on this forum, as people here would be his target market.

I like it, but am not in the market at the moment, and in reality would rather have a '59/'60 as I've always been a fan of those Mitchell designs, though the '58s being last of Harley Earl's styling are pretty nice too.

He had it posted here a while back, no action. Price was higher then.

I remember the old kijiji ad (heck, I posted it), but I didn't recall him posting it in Canadian Pontiacs For Sale on this board.  All I was thinking is that if he posted a good, detailed description and some good quality, high resolution, detailed photos on here, he might find a buyer.  Or maybe a friend or relative of a board member... you never know.

So far, with the small and sparse photos on kijiji, it looks to the observer that it might be a rusty car that could be hiding more serious rust problems.  It is a cool, relatively rare Canadian Pontiac, and sounds like it's actually good solid car.  I'd love to see a board member who will give it some love end up with it.

That's all, just my 2¢...  smile

Probably wouldn't be too hard to find that trim piece. I suspect a 4 door sedan would have that trim and maybe even the US cars.
