1962 Pontiac 4 Door - Vancouver, BC - $1,350 US Dollars

https://www.cars-on-line.com/gen3-cars/col1/posting/91389

1962 Pontiac 4 Door

Pontiac 4 Door.  4 Door. 6 Cylinder automatic, 2-speed, daily driven, brakes recently done,

all lights work, reliable and good on gas.

This car is very original and would be great for restoration.

It's 55 years old and it shows its age. Some rust and interior needs new door panels.

Engine and transmission work well but are original and not rebuilt.

The car drives well. Standard steering, standard brakes. Solid and fun to drive. Big trunk!

It's funny........how NOBODY seems want to pay ANYTHING...for a 4dr sedan........but they were the "real deal"....back in the day.....

I'd guess that 60-70% of X-frame Canadian Pontiacs sold in that era were 4dr sedans....with sixes......and manual steering and brakes....

And don't forget "bolt action", at least most of them on the prairies were three on the tree.

Compare this one to the 2 door HT for $4800? You can clean this one up or drive it as is, and sell later and get your money back. The 2 door will cost a lot more to get in good condition, so if you want a low cost 62, buy this one.

Nice deal, just under $1700 Canadian.  Add $3K shipping to the east coast and it's now $4700, but great deal for west coast guys!  Though for east coast guys it's still cheaper than buying a rusty one out east and paying for rust repair...

Yup, clean it up, fix any functional/safety items, and drive!  Nice little cruiser there for honest money.

Somebody needs to jump on this one...  Hey Darryl, you should buy this! biggrin

Dont know why, but this has been for sale for ages and ages and ages.

ive so far resisted temptation to go and see.

I prefer a 4 door car actually.

I was going off a quote for an enclosed truck from coast to coast.  Looked into it a few years back, could probably gotten a deal for $2500 at the time.  Have heard bad stories about SeaRail if that's the company you're talking about... so I ruled them out.

Everything's cheaper to GTA due to volume (as I understand it), BTW, definitely costs more to go all the way to the coast.

On the south coast...and Fraser Valley....there appears to be a VERY limited market......for 4dr vintage cars...of this era...

Unless one of you guys back east snaps it up for a driver.......it's ultimate destiny will be a parts car.....

Front sheet metal....frame....dash...column and bumpers.... will ALL enhance a HT or wagon resto...

Besides ferries, we also have a bridge. Not the Rainbow bridge, like in Niagara Falls.wink
