66-69 Strato Bench. I think the style or shape changed slightly in 70.
B or A Car 2 door will work for the core. Strato is narrower than the Std bench.
Power or no power, you choose. Must be B body tracks in B body car, I think they differ. Rebuilt units are pretty common. Can be redone diy. Lots of parts on ebay. Easy hook up to harness power.
Headrest was optional in 66 - 67, unique style. 68 - 69 was standard, different style from the 66/67.
Reclining passenger seatback was available 66-69. 70?
A 4 door fixed back seat probably could even be used with some modification.
All vinyl Pariseinne seat could be reproduced easily. Strato bucket repop buns can be modified to work in the bench.
Seatbacks are reproduced in button release or no button style. New edge trim is available. Armrest hinge cover trim is very hard to find.
Special floor mounts required in any case. Weld in place. Commonly available.
Some members here have good experience with rebuilding them.

That is very helpful!
Thanks Mark
I read your build thread but still had some questions.
Is your new seat better/ more comfortable than your old bench?
It sure looks like it is
Never did do one Greg. But I really would like a new seat (or seats) at some point. Probably just a picture of a finished Strat that I grabbed somewhere.
Like I said, there are at least 2 guys here that have done them, I'm sure they'll chime in with the true facts.

Good info, Mark! I just have to add that headrests weren't standard until 1969. As for the reclining feature, that may have been a U.S. Pontiac thing (nice feature to add).
I was going to say that the seat back latch was added for 1967, but a Strato Bench 4-door wouldn't use one. As for any 2-door, the latch was added low towards the outer edge of the seat back. For 69 the release button went into the middle of the seat back so you would really have to reach in (at least that is how it was on the Strato Buckets.)

So the 66 Strato seat, 2 door bucket or bench had a seatback release? I know 67-68 had one up just below armpit height, coming through the seatback shells edge.

It's said a Strato seat is considerably more comfortable than a standard bench. I can imagine one done in new dual density foam would be really nice. And why not hide an inflatable lumbar in during the build!
