Hey Guys ,i hope someone can help me here,my 67 beaumont is all painted up and all chrome put on except 2 top rear window mouldings.For the life of me i tried everything.there is new clips i bought sort of half moon.upon ordering i asked for 67 chevelle assuming they are similar.my problem is upon putting clips on to the small studs the clips end up below the thickness of the glass so i am unable to clip them.where are the little studs positioned to the glass for i fear whoever replaced rear window maybe has too much sealer making the glass pop out further than the studs than again maybe there is diff clips for that part of the moulding,help please don.t know where to turn to
Hi Shiky. I just replaced my rear window last week by a well known local glass company. He put it in place easy enough but when he tried to put the mouldings on he could not clip them in. He pulled the glass out scraped off all the sealer and put a thinner diameter role of sealer and the clips all worked fine. He told me the sizes he had on and the new size he put in but I don't remember what they are. If you need to know I can easily find out .
If it's the clip style I think it is, there is long and short ( meaning height). I wonder if they have the wrong clips? There is very little difference in the tab height that the moulding catches onto, maybe 1/4". I dealt with this once years back, I forget which vehicle it was one though.
