Plug wires.....

Ok......350......under a 283 2bbl.... top end......in a 63.....

Getting ready for an engine detail.

Engine is pretty much stock/correct...on the top end....with rams horns...but has an HEI......which I think I will leave in place.

Would really like to have the wires come up from underneath.....instead of the spaghetti MESS they are on top of valve covers now...

It appears that the 350 block....does not have the mounting holes...for the earlier looms...and plug heat shields.

Looking for some tips......before I dig into it...

As far as I know there is only one HEI wire set that fits that style of manifold, and it comes on trucks bigger than 1 ton with a 350.

If you order wires for a 76 GMC 6000 series truck with a 350 they will be long enough to use with your manifolds. I'm not sure they will be long enough to run through the engine mounts like the original plug wires do (at least they do on my 66 that uses the ram horn manifold like your 64). However, as far as I've seen that is the only tailored wire set made for HEI that will have wires long enough. The rest are made for manifolds that run under the plugs, or the log style manifold that is on the Malibus in the 80's and those wires will still be too short I think.

75 - 80 Corvette wire sets work well also. they are long enough to route down and under like the stock ones. It's what I used on mine. I just made up my own separators and attached to the engine mount.
