I have never seen this car around town.

If anyone is interested, it can't be far from me.

I'll go look at it for you !

Anyone near the 70 2+2 to lay a good set of car guy eyes on this rare old beast.

If decent, will bring it here to Calgary, this old girl should stay here in Canada.

Will be happy to pay for any expenses, would be great if the person looking at car and if good

enough to buy, could keep it for me till I arrange shipping.

Thanks Wayne

I can go and see the car as soon as the seller is available.

The car can sit here,

If you buy it, I can store it indoors.

But only until the snow flies.

That's Dave's old car. I've seen it in person (I have a photo somewhere). It has that rare option with a blower motor in the kickpanel vents.

I asked this fella a few years ago for photos of the cowl to see where the kick panel fans mounted. You can just see the studs up on the top of the cowl with nuts on the studs.

You can see that the 454 has the long neck water pump and no rad spacer. My 68 Grande 396 has short water pump and a rad spacer. Just an observation.

Even though it's not originally a BB car it would still be cool to own.

Power kick vents? I've heard of Astro Ventilation but not the fan-equipped kick vents.

That car was red but repainted burgundy. Funny but there was the opposite case I remember. In Ancaster back in the 1970s there was a '70 2+2 in burgundy (Black Cherry) with a black vinyl roof; it was repainted Cranberry Red in 1977. That one had black & white cloth on the seat faces.

You know, that open element air cleaner will really help that 454 breathe and howl, but I would love to see the stock air-cleaner on it just to make it more accurate & original since examples of Pontiacs with 454s are so rare.

I thought I had a photo somewhere showing the instrument panel with the switch for the power ventilation. Can't find it anywhere. If I remember correctly it was next to the wiper switch. I bet we could count on one hand how many 1970 Canadian Pontiac's had this option.

I kind of mis-spoke above.  The option is called "Power-flow Ventilation System" and there are fans mounted in the cowl ducting, which provide air to both the Astro-Vents and the kick panel vents.     A set of these fans (and the associated brackets) popped up on ebay a couple years ago, but I figured they were for an A-body car.  The fans themselves are likely nothing special, but the brackets would be tough to duplicate.

Here's a photo of the rocker switch (that mounts in the dash just like the defog or power top switches)

4d_1.jpg

And a photo of the fans/brackets.  I'm pretty sure this is from the ebay auction a couple years ago.  Note the studs to mount to the cowl are a lot wider than in the photo of the car for sale.

I saw the car in question in 2002, and noticed the "Air" rocker switch.   I didn't know anything about it, and when I asked Dave he didn't know how it worked either.

I grabbed the photo from above, and circled the studs up on the cowl for the "Power-flow Ventilation System".

While talking technically correct, which engine options got the the return line fron the filter? My 427 car has it but the 350 2bbl in the 69 Parisienne did not.

The rad layout and long water neck are the same as on my 427.

I sold a complete set of the Power flow ventilation from a 1969 Grand Prix a few years ago to a guy in Swartz Creek Michigian. It was the rarest option available for a Grand Prix as most of the hi end cars had factory air conditioning. The system looks identical to the one posted above. If I remember correctly the kick panels were unique to the system. I did not have a factory assembly manual for correct removal of the unit but the guy purchasing it did and walked me through the removal without damaging any of the parts. I delivered a pickup load of parts to him and was amazed at his 3 1969 Grand Prix cars. One really rare 428-390hp 4 speed car. The option was listed on the GM paperwork issued by George for the 69 I parted out and I can look up the code if anyone wants it.By any chance do you remember what kind of money the kit sold for?
