1953 Pontiac Pathfinder, 239 cid flat head, water pump

I'm looking for a source of a water pump for a 239 cdi, flat head in a 1953 Canadian Pontiac.  Anyone know of a Canadian source?  Or an American one?

I did see some on eBay, but they are listed for the US, Pontiac Chieftain.  Not sure if this would be the same as the Canadian one?

Thanks in advance

Wes

PS

I searched & found a discussion about locating a water pump for a '57 Pontiac, but I believe that would have been an overhead valve 6 (correct me if I am wrong).

Hi

I had a problem water pump on my '53 Pontiac Pathfinder and had quite a problem tracking down a new one. So . . . eventually, after taking it off the car, I was able to get it rebuilt at a place called Autoline in Winnipeg. I was steered on this company by the local NAPA dealer here in Sechelt, BC. They fixed it all up and got it back to me in short order, can't remember what they charged but I thought it was fair. I have a pic of the water pump showing the number stamped on the housing and I'm sure it would be useful to you as this is the original Pathfinder water pump. Thing is, I need your e-mail address to forward this picture to you. My e-mail is granitecarver@gmail.com if you want to communicate with me.

thanks George! Email sent.

Dick (my buddy with the '53) found a complete engine & tranny for sale and bought them because he needed an exhaust manifold to pass the safety inspection. Now he has a bunch of spare parts, including a water pump!

I am surprised these engines are as rare as they are. For some reason, I assumed they'd be fairly easy to get parts for.
