I think the correct term is windlace. I'll see if I can find a picture of it.

This is on my 66 Strato Chief. I suspect your's would be similar but I don't know for certain.

Zis that a pillared 2 door? Is  around that area slightly different the vert and coupe? Looks like the trim overlaps the windlace. on mine it looks like the outcome would be slightly different

2 door post, yes. It may look slightly different on a hardtop but I think the material is similar from what I remember.

Hey Phill, there is a hard rubber tack strip that goes in the channel and held in by the tabs. approx 1/2" thick by 3/4" wide.

Then the windlace is stapled into it.
