Carl S - 4SPEED427 - A huge thank you !!!

Just wanted to acknowledge Carl and his incredible generosity in reaching out to me to offer up his time to go look at a car.  Not only did he spend his valuable time to go look at the car, which was a couple hours away, he also coordinated directly with the seller to arrange the time etc.   He also spent considerable time on the phone talking prior and after to debrief on his findings, but also just general car talk, he has such as wealth of knowledge.

Such a great guy, so I will make a donation to the CP site on his behalf....a great asset to this site and the car enthusiast community in general!

I'm know he's been a great resource to many others, and I'm honored to add myself to that list.

My one complaint is that 68vert (Calvin) is a bad listener! I told him I just wanted gas money and that was all. In true Canadian Poncho site member style, he didn't listen and paid me extra....

The car was 260 kilometers away but my sister happens to live another 40 kms past there so she came and met us for lunch. It was a bonus that we got to see her because it doesn't happen that often. It was a great day and a fun task (not really much of a task actually) and I was happy to do it.

Thanks Calvin!

Ha ha, when it comes to thanking those that go out of there way to help me you bet! My mom raised me right. Lol
All joking aside it would have cost me MUCH more to look myself and wouldn't have been as capable as yourself.

Without going into great detail, I'll say it was refreshing to drive that far and not be disappointed. This is one of those rare sellers who fairly and accurately described his car, including his being critical of it's weak points. A really nice guy. And the funny thing is, years back he and my sister who lives 25 miles away worked at the same business in the town where he lives!
