I used an outfit in Cranbrook BC rebuild a couple clocks for my 1970 cars a number of years ago, but I've never actually installed them. I think they were called Western Wireless, but I'll poke around and see if that's correct.
well that sounds great !i will give them a call tmr ! looks like the points ar burnt and the spring is broken!
1 really dont want to change it to quartz ! my dad actually had this one installed over a year after he bought the car
. according to the bill for it from jenner moters it was paid for when he paid for the car !as this work order says no charge for clock or installation ! thx clint !
hi clint i called him he no longer does auto clocks! he says cant get parts and when they were fixed they only last 6 mo so he gave up !but he did give me another leed instrument services in illinois !after al ive read i may go with quartz conversion and be done with it !!thx clint
this is the first yr in about 5 that i missed the calgary stampede !what a great show it is !!!!
I looked it up, Western Wireless did 2 for me in 2002, and I've never installed them. But when I redo the dash in my convertible later this summer one will finally get installed. I think I have a couple NOS ones, and likely a couple other used ones kicking around.
well i will be darned i googleed clock repair and here was a canadian pontiac posting all about the pros and cons of changing to quartz movement !and a place in mi that does it so i called and they will repair it original !so off it went to clock works minasota awsome !!! but im sure when the smoke clears will be around $250 or so canadian with shipping !!
From the 1 photo, I'd say that's a 1970 clock. 1969's have a blueish hue to them, whereas 1970's are definitely black. I've sent the seller a note asking him.

Dan, I had both my Safari & Impala clocks converted by " the Clock Works" over the winter, service was extremely fast [ matter of days] & I'm sure they will do a great job on restoring your clock to "original" as well.

I heard back from the seller, they confirm it's a 1969 clock.

That is a very sharp and clear photo and that is definitely a black background. I know they "confirmed" it is a '69, but why then does the ad say '69-'70 if it is a '69? "Caveat emptor" on this one! I had mine converted to the quartz conversion and it has been going strong for 6 years.

I've found it's often tough to tell the blue background vs black background in photo's, but easy to tell when they're beside each other. The one in the ebay ad looks about the same hue as the one in the photo's at the start of the thread. The seller said "This is a 69 clock. It does, however, fit in a 70."
well randy the brand new clock is about $30 usd cheaper then the repaired one i will get back!the people at clock works talked me into quartz replacement becouse they last longer and more warrentee! i would have bought the new one u found for sure thx guys !!
