That car reminds me of one a friend had forty years ago. His was a 250 six with three on the tree. One day his wife backed out of a driveway and the road was a fairly steep grade. When she backed out the car was rolling down the grade in reverse, she pulled it into low gear and let the clutch out and twisted the pinion off in the rear end!

Late 64 or early 65 I was an apprentice at York Mills Pontiac in Toronto. A black 65 2 door Strato Chief with

a 409 400hp and 4 speed was towed in with the rear end in pieces and the rear wheel stud holes e-longated (now oval).

Care to guess what might have been going on?.........smile

That car is the same color my '66 'Chief was. Laurel Mist Met. I had Tri-Fawn interior in mine though. I miss it........
