Pull the backs off and check for a line sheet. Maybe they were from a Nicely optioned car?

I think the illegible code to the right is T58 or 59.
Cool!
In the passenger seat back was this newer Service parts tag. 9794324. comes up as a transmission inspection plate. Must have slipped or have been put in. Maybe Carl can decode this tag.
Very cool, thanks for posting pics. Drivers side seat back seems to be a common place they put them in buckets.

Man I wish I had a use for those seats - it would mean I have a '67 2+2 (which I don't). Love the upholstery colour too! One of my favourite sixties colours.

You mention that the side button was used on 66 to 68. I'm not sure about 68 but I don't believe they used a locking button at all in 66. At least I don't have any in my 66 Grande
Yeah I know. Seems weird now. Safety was not much of a priority yet in 66. By 67 things were quite a bit better with dual master cylinders, four way flashers, collapsible steering columns and optional(!) shoulder harnesses and disc brakes)
I guess the emphasis in 66 was more on the side of added dash (Ie horsepower) than a padded dash (safety).

My "loaded" (LOL) 66 Strato Chief has the factory installed 4 way flashers on the option tag. Funny, my car has an option your Grande Parisienne doesn't. That would be the only one!

Just needs carpet and the lower door panel carpet replaced (which I have from Dale @ NOS).

That's kind of funny. I guess my car was owned by someone who had access to a dealer. I believe it was actually owned by the wife of the owner of Enerson motors in Lethbridge because it had a few dealer installed options when I got it. One was a kneeknocker tach as mine didn't have the factory one and the other was the four way flashers. I pulled both of those off when I did the car as I wanted to use factory stuff. I now understand that the the four ways flasher was also a factory option that year so I may get around to plugging them back in the system yet. Or I might use them on the Beaumont. I think it would be the same setup.
