Rad cap with overflow

Hello,

I have just installed a radiator overflow and was wondering if I have to change the radiator cap now and if so would you know the number?

You need to be more specific. Did you change the neck on your radiator, or just run the existing overflow tube into a tank? What car?

Same cap then. Nothing has changed, except you're now containing the overflow rather than letting it run on the ground.

You only need to change the cap if you have the right tank and hose setup and want to suck the overflow back into the rad when it cools down. In that case the cap has a double gasket on it vs a single gasket.

Thanks it seems to be blowing all over the place when it sucks it back in so I will try a different cap.
