Good day all! Does anyone know the paint code for a red 66 steering wheel? I found a black one in mint shape and want to paint it red as like the interior. Thank you!
I would guess that the old Dupont lacquer formula was 4625-LH, the semi-gloss. Modern lacquer isn't 1-2-3 with the old leaded stuff and in fact may not be available in even the less durable form at all due to VOC levels. Maybe something in a single stage would be best now because if you shoot clear over top it may change the look & colour somewhat. The wheel will see a lot of wear (hopefully )
Thank goodness for paintref.com. I check them often.
