I knew of a Chevelle that got a Beaumont dash and if I recall the windshield was removed so the spot welds could be drilled out to swap the metal part because it was completely different.
Brod, when you say your dash is messed up. Are you referring to the dash pad or the steel structure that the pad mounts to?
A mental note to keep, when looking for your replacement be aware of the dash vents. Sedan/post cars did not have dash vents in 69 as they used vent windows and the hardtops did use the dash vents.
I thought dash pad went on the metal so I stripped it right down to bare metal. Not realizing it goes over the existing molded padding. Rookie mistake.
The picture shows the inner or base structure of the padded dash. it is what the factory applied the foam and vinyl over. It would normally look like the picture below.
I see a few options. 1 - find a repalcement GTO/Lemans dash, 2 - go with a chevelle dash (not sure if it will fit, hence the subject of the post), 3 - send the stripped frame to Just Dashes to be refoamed and trimmed.

Just looked at 69 chevelle dashes. They are very different. The chevelle is small pad on top of the dash carrier that is welded to the body. Unlike the removable dash assembly from the Beaumont.
