My brother has a Oshawa built 1969 Malibu Convertible

(not his)

He wants to raise the back end.

Nothing dramatic, he just wants to level the car off.

I used pucks on my B-body but due to the suspension design, I could get more lift on my car with a smaller puck.

A-Body,

B-Body

B-body is a 3 to 1 lift ratio but it looks like the A-body is only going to get on inch of lift for a one inch puck due to where the spring is located.

Has anyone used these spacers in an A-Body or should he try somethin else.

"No Air Shocks" he says biggrin

I changed the springs first with my car and I found that the ones I ordered were way too stiff.

I put the originals back and added the spacers.

Love the ride.

A spring that would give him a 1 - 2" lift would be awesome.

Back in the day I used wagon rear springs, there were lots available back then. The ends of the springs are the same on GM rear wheel drive cars probably until the end of production. I took the new cargo coils out of a 69 Chevelle parts car and replaced them with 1985 Caprice rear springs. The Caprice springs were too long, it was really high but good enough to get rid of the car.
