Question for the wagon owners .... I need to get keys made...Are there 2 separate keys for the cubbyhole / door locks /rear and ignition.... For that matter , can the key be used to open the back window or is it a pop out hand crank? Ive had a couple country squires and back window was power from dash switch and back keyhole.
When I ordered the vehicle information from Vintage Vehicle Services, they indicated they could supply a local GM dealership with the key codes, as long as I could provide proof of ownership to the dealership.
I provided my vehicle registration to the local GM dealership, along with the letter from Vintage Vehicle Services, and while the dealership wasn't previously aware of this service, they proceeded to get the codes from Oshawa. Then they cut me keys.
While I suspect you don't have a registration, your Bill of Sale may be sufficient for the local dealership. Sourcing the Briggs & Stratton blanks may be a bit of an issue, but Heads Lock & Key in Calgary used to have them. Or possibly a local locksmith might have generic blanks.
Ignition, door and back window will be the same. This is the key blank you will need. I don't have any of the round head keys for the glove box lock as GM didn't have them. I bought 2 boxes of these to be sure I always had.
Easiest way to get the code is to pop the drivers door lock. There will be a 4-digit number code stamped on the housing. Too bad you weren't closer as I cut keys all the time for myself (all my cars) and my customers.

Thanks for the replies. Easiest for me will probably be to take ignition out and take to locksmith. Out of curiosity where ya be 67Poncho?
Foam Lake, Sk via NL. Re: removing the ignition cylinder. You actually you need the key to remove the ign cylinder from the ignition switch. That's why I suggested to remove the drivers door lock to get the code. Once you get the code, someone there could do it for you.
