Do you have the harness complete or partial, or is everything going to be new Doug?

You can do it Dougie! It's only 12v not 112v..so you can spill a beer on the floor and still be safe!   You buy a wiring kit with the AC included?

One way to get good at it is to do it.
I was the same way when I did my El Camino. Break it down into smaller projects. Plan to do it over a month not everything at once.
Used AAW as well. Do a sheet at a time. Then step back and breath. AAW tech line is phenomenal. If I had a problem I just called.

Go for it !

I agree with all the guys you say , Doug you can do it.

I actaully used the American auto kits three times now. The illustrations are section by section , each wire is not only color coded, but actually labelled.

If you can read, you can wire your car, It is really that simple, and to beat that, the most rewarding part , well almost,  of the whole build.

Anyway, my 2 cents worth , have fun.

I think the wires are also labelled for folks who are colour blind.

Well shoot, that must suck. It's tough enough getting older and not being able to tell light brown from gray etc. Having your head up under the dash when the wires are just a few inches from your face is no fun. It was easy at 30, not so easy at 60 when the colours aren't clear!

What do you do when working on electrical Randy?

Doug, you can do it. Just take your time. A little bit each day. As Darryl suggested, take little bites and then take a breather. Think how good it would feel to tell your friends (Jim...) that you did it yourself.

When I reinstalled the entire wiring harness in my Nova my best friends were a colour coded wiring diagram and the Assembly Manual. After a lot of cleaning, arranging, going over the wiring diagram and finding the relevant diagrams in the Assembly Manual it went back together better than new. Actually a couple of things that didnt work when it came apart magically functioned properly after I put it back.

I had the added issues of some items entirely removed and discarded by previous owners that I had to work around. They were things I would have removed anyway and it turned out that the previous owner appears to have known what he was doing.

If you lay it out and work through it using the Assembly Manual as a guide for bundling and placement and use the wiring diagram for reference it isnt difficult.

Pay special attention to grounding points!

I did a AA setup in my 62 Chevy, their harness was perfect and like was said, the diagrams and colour codes made it very easy to do. Never did 1 before and very happy with the results.
