working on 36 coupe, straight 8, hasnt run in 20 yrs, but it will, ha.
going over it and working to get it to run, new battery: lights, horn, fuel gauge and generator light work,
had gas tank cleaned, flushed fuel lines, will change plugs and fluids once I get it to turn over, starter just clicks, any ideas to move forward? Cant get at crank pulley due to rad and harmonic balancer to try and turn crank with a bar .
guess I should have payed closer attention to my dad when I was younger.....

Welcome aboard Reade.
Extremely glad to see you've taken an interest in the old 36.
It still looks just like I remember it when your Dad and Mom used to tour with it.
An all original Canadian built car that has held up amazingly well.
Keep the group here informed as you progress with making it roadworthy.
For those who notice things like this, note the plate number in the picture. The very first antique plate issued in Ontario was HVA001, and it's still in use in Orillia. So this is the 486th antique Ontario plate ever issued.
Reade, I'm sure your Dad filled you in on some of the cars history but if not perhaps later we can discuss.
One of my ambitions is to get a pre-war car but I am hung up on the pricey ones, Cords, Auburns and Packards but this car is absolutely fantastic looking. I will definitely have to broaden my criteria.
The world is small,,, my dad and I brought the car to the Soo the fall before he passed away. it was last licensed in 1998. Will get it running, do brakes and needs an interior as mice moved in.
I will make sure to call for help if needed, Will let my mom know to.
