Impala parts on my Parisienne


Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum. I have owned a 1966 Catalina for 10 years and just purchased a 1966 Parisienne custom sport 4 speed 327. I am sure this question has probably already been asked, but i couldn't find anything on the forum about impala parts fitting my Parisienne. I know that the body parts aren't the same but curious if all other parts are interchangeabl?. Thanks ahead of time for answering my question

Yes, the 65-70 Canadian built Pontiac is pure Chevrolet in Chassis and driveline.

Welcome Nate.

Yes, a lot of the parts are the same, obviously not the make-up. On my 67 Parisienne I have plenty of parts from Impalas.

For your 1966 Parisienne, the entire chassis including drive train is the same as 1966 Impala. Plus the floorpan & fuel tank / sending unit combination. In addition, the pedals are same as Impala, and if I recall the steering column as well.

I'm not sure if your Custom Sport has a center console, but if so that's the same as Impala SS as well.

 As far as the fuel tank goes, I know some guys here have said they used the Spectra GM37C listed for an Impala and made it work but Spectra lists a GM37K for the 1966 full size Canadian Pontiacs and it's a perfect fit, I've used it. 

Also, I've installed a 1966 Impala steering column in a 1966 Canadian Pontiac and it required some minor alteration to the bowl right where it meets the dash.

 Although not a 66, I installed an Impala's tilt column on my 67 Parisienne with no alterations whatsoever, plugged right in. Also all my weatherstrips I bought for Impala and fit right in (trunk, windows)

FYI, back to 1955, almost every part of Cdn Pontiacs is Chevy, except front clip rear quarters trunk lid and bumpers. Floor pans, rockers, doors except skins, glass, roof, you name it.

window weather strip (felts,  fuzzies what ever you wish to call them) usually are different in the fact that the Impala has a fixed chrome reveal  running along the belt line where the Parisienne does not. So the Impala attaches directly to the reveal molding; the Parisienne has a 1/8" round bead attached to the window felt.
