hello looking for the felt like bevelled ) ring seal that slides over the front input shaft, the transmission bleeds out its oil when parked. there is a sleeve that slides over this on the shaft and has a notch that is a slight turn to press the seal and lock it in tight. does anyone know the proper name for the seal and more importantly where to purchase it?

i will post a picture of the existing one once i figure out how to post the picks.

hmm wonder if same as chevy? did u try rock auto i would guess trans are the same

Where are you located? Try your local jobber as they may have a connection that you hadn't thought of.... eg local transmission specialist or drive line specialist.

i order mine from chevy of the 40 canadien pontiac have a tork tube like the chevy.
