262 engine in a 1955 Pontiac .

Hello, I have a 1955 Pontiac 4 door, no option 261 three on the tree, bought from a farm in Northern Saskatchewan. Its a good solid, no rust car that runs strong, although the tappets are noisy at startup. It was sold to me as running, but had 4 bent pushrods when it arrived here in Ontario. I rebuilt the carb, changed the water pump, and the gas pump, and did an oil change and grease job. It runs cool and carries 60 lbs oil pressure at idle when hot. (Indicated) I straightened the pushrods on my bench with a hammer.

Welcome    You will find a lot of help here.

Photos.....   when you post a reply scroll the page down and at the bottom there is a link for attach files.

Click on the link and  find your photos on your computer or cell.  Once you find the file click on it and you will see a indication that it is loading. There is then an option to load it to the site.

Once the photo shows up in the posting area you can click on it and the photo will turn blue and will have parameter ident links on each corner.  Grab one of the corner links and pull the link to resize the photo.  If the photo is large it may not fit on the screen so grab the slider bar to put the edge of the photo at the corner so you can grab the parameter identifiers.

Keep resizing till the photo fills the posting area. When done click  open

Whew>>>>>  Hope that helps,,,,,,,    and doesnt scare you off.....

Cliff

Took me quite a while to perfect the process as my camera takes huge pictures.
