We have width restrictions like this everywhere. They were originally a knee jerk reaction to commuters taking rat runs through side streets (many of which have been littered with speed humps and or closed at one end), but they're now on many very busy roads. There's often a wider route for buses and emergency vehicles (with cameras to catch the "cheats") Most are posted as 6'6" but are usually a bit wider. When I use the '64 I have to plan my runs very carefully. There's something odd about the one in the video but it's entry point is somewhat obscured by the camera angle. I suspect there's something that inattentive drivers are not seeing.
Ok. I've found the junction. (By coincidence my sister actually used to live in the road) From street view it's posted as 7'0" but I'm pretty sure it's less than that. If I'm right the drivers are seeing the 7'0" sign, thinking that's no problem, but don't know how to judge their approach properly. (Especially on the drinkers side)
