Carl, the value on these will only go up as all our fellow old car crowd need appropriate transport for our wheelchairs? And the fact it may not outrun the wheelchair will be an added bonus as our faculties decline.

Very cool and rare... plus another one for parts!

Only thing I mind about these cab-forward pickups and vans are that you are the first one on the scene of the accident... your feet are up around the front bumper.

Regardless, very unique vehicle and that rampside feature would have to be useful.

Still better than a motorcycle? With the corvair, your head is 2 feet above your head on a bike. Plus you are definitely going a lot slower than almost all bikes. I used to own a 1971 Kawasaki 3 cylinder 500CC BTW back when I was young and foolish. I'm not young anymore.

Nice example of a (deservingly) rare item. Not something I'd buy. The spare parts car is a definite bonus. I'm sure it will appeal to someone, but he needs to reach out to a MUCH broader audience to get the best dollar for it.

I would love to have it especially being a southern truck. I like this odd ball stuff and I never think of what would happen in an accident. Like Don said, still better than a motorcycle.

I have been known to buy weird stuff in my time with same happy go lucky thinking process. So far so good, but trying to find parts is also part of the fun (although it is lot easier than it used to be back before the internet).

If I was really obsessed with safety I would be driving a Volvo and sure wouldn't wouldn't fighting fires for my mad money.

That being said I'm like the most of the guys on here in that I sure do drive more carefully and warily than i used to which is actually the most effective safety feature on any car.

I always wanted one of those campers. I remember seeing them on display at GM Diesel in London when they were new during an open house. They had this, a GM locomotive, Terex dump truck and a military vehicle of some sort on display.
