1969 Catalina 1/4 question


Quick question .... Would the USA built 69 Catalina rear 1/4 's fit the 69 Canadian Parisienne ?

I believe its identical on the outside.

The skin is the same but the inners are different.

A member had one for sale in the US a few years ago.

Another member dropped what he was doing and went down and snatched right away.

Correct, Catalina and Canadian model 69 quarters are same part numbers but floor extensions, inner and out wheel tubs are unique to Canada.

I think Dave in Seattle actually put 69 Catalina hardtop quarters on his 2+2 rag. I imagine it took a little metal work.

Thanks for confirming what I suspected on these 1/4's . I did have some 69 Bonneville repro lower 1/4 skins , and they were definitely different . Finding decent / workable
rear 1/4's will continue to be a challenge.

Depending on the extent of rust repair needed an option could be the quarters from a 4 door Catalina, the rear section is the same except for the very top edge on the side running up from the bumper to the roof and the wheel opening is the same (only an inch available at the front of the wheel opening).

Keep an eye on Franks website for 4 door panels

20190706_204004.jpgif you have the time you can make a wooden template of that nos quarter you have. they you can make a buck to build your own from. i used the chrome trim to get the genra shape for mine.
