Dashpad covers

Hello,. I was wondering if anybody has had experience using the dashpad caps. My dash is looking old and has some cracks in it. I noticed the caps are alot cheaper than getting a new dashpad.

Hey Lloyd,

I bought one for my 63 a few years ago (still have it) and thought it would be the answer to saving my dash.

It's made of plastic and to tell you the truth it doesn't really add anything to the appearance of the car.

It just sits on top of the existing dash.....probably purpose is to just protect the original dash from damage or the sun.

I  have considered using it as a base for making a new vinyl dash pad.

But that would take time, and my present dash pad is still in good shape.

Thanks for the info, I searched through here and a few years ago some one said they are not really worth it. I will get a quote on redoing it and maybe opt for a new one.

I personally have installed two of the replacement dash caps. They were made from a more rigid plastic than original material. Both installs were
on 69s, a beaumont and a GTO. Both caps fit very well, were easy to install and if it wasnt pointed out almost undetectable. The cost was easy to
take as well, around $200. Ive also had Just Dashes redo two 69 beaumont dashes and the last one was $1600 US. Hope this helps with your decision.
