This ones got me thinking...

On FB. A few miles away..but might be worth the trip. Same year as dads old one..but a Vert! How are the bottom sides on these (Frame/mounts). Noticed the retractable lap belt? Canso never had them until 67? Doesn't look too messed with.....

Only minus is the missing pedal but that's an easy fix.

I'd love to see you in a 65 or newer B body!

The retractable belt I think is a later addition. 65's had the open winder not the covered. Car looks pretty decent, in need of some TLC.

2 key things

1) What's it like under that wide stainless trim?

2) Frame

Get it on a hoist for a frame inspection.  4 link on rear axle? are those bushing beat. Sway bar?

Inspect strut rod bushings.

check code for axle ratio. Road test for body clunks

any evidence of rustproofing?

Do it!
If it's good, that is.
Frame, check from cowl mounts to trans crossmember, and where rear lowers attach. That's the normal trouble spots, especially on 65.
Poke around that stainless, rockers usually aren't bad on these but... and behind rear wheel usually are gone, easy enough fix for a man of your talents.
Looks pretty complete of all the hard to find stuff. 3rd pedal conversion, worst part will be the 65 only 4sp console.

The one on the passenger side looks like an attachment for a vacuum.  Not sure about the one on the drivers side.

I know that the console dimensions etc are the same as Chevy but is the trim? Colours etc? I would imagine the logo in the Custom Sport just replaces the SS logo?

As far as I know, they are the same other than the logo. Still not an overly common piece. And the logo and clock transfer from the auto console.

Yep, same console as Impala. A couple odd things I noticed were the gear selector in the speedo, incorrect e-brake pad, and rear tail panel not correct.

Go for it Jim, It's a real Pontiac.

Not one of those non Pontiac cars that Pontiac dealers sold. biggrin

You might even get a chance to raise the roof if you get a sunny day on the island. biggrin

Sharp eye Steve, I didn't notice the gear selector in the speedo or incorrect e-brake pad (I've got the correct pad & stainless trim for the buyer).   What's wrong with the tail panel?

The upper body line trim is also Parisienne only? That never came on Custom Sports I don't think.

Not that I don't like the car but I'm thinking it's likely a Parisienne, someone parted out a Custom Sport and added a lot of the parts to the Parisienne?

I still think it's a great project at an affordable price even if that is the case.

Correct tail panel between the tail lights should say Parisienne, 3pcs. This has the one piece says Pontiac. Not sure what models had that, but the Catalina did.

Thanks Steve.  After I commented I realized it should likely say Parisienne.
