Over the past forty years, you may have seen me driving through southern Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and BC. Out to Vancouver Island on a scenic tour through northern Washington and back through southern BC, then down to Kalispell to meet a friend. On one trip to Hinton, I was driving on the #22, north of Rocky Mountain House, and met another 1961 Pontiac heading south! I've had lots of good trips with family and friends in this car. I even drove myself to my wedding with my dress and heels on, veil flying out the window. My 83-year-old uncle in the front seat, and in the back, my aunt and my two closest friends, who were my bridal party, laughing all the way to the church.
From 1984 to 1998 it was the original colour, white top, faded red bottom. In 1998 I had some body work done and had it painted. It's been regularly maintained, is a three-on-the-tree, the speedometer and odometer don't work, there are between 150,000 and 175,000 miles on it. Original colours were white top and red bottom. There's some paint bubbling under the Pontiac logo on the hood and along the rear wheel wells.
1990 replaced 283 with a 350
1998 paint and some metal/body work
2000 hit and run rear end
2007 windshield replaced, all other glass is original
2019 replaced rear axle shaft bearing, re-core rad
2021 replaced alternator and harness, differential pinion seal
Medicine Hat, Alberta
