65 Parisienne Tail Panels & Lights. For Sale.

Hi guys,

I'm in Melbourne, Australia

I have several tail panels for a '65 Parisienne. Also a set of tail lights inc lenses. The tail panels are not perfect but not bad at all. I'd rate them as a 85 out of a 100 and the other about 70 out of a 100. The tail lights are quite good.

How about A$350 for everything?

So, I'm asking for expressions of interest? Ideally I'd like to sell the lot in one go. I can pack them safely to travel anywhere in the world. Might cost $120 for the freight but yet to be confirmed depending on the end destination.

I'll get some good pictures up in the next day or so.

Ian

Welcome here Ian.

For anyone who happens to be a little nervous about dealing with a new member here I can certainly put your mind at ease. Heybuck has been a member on a US Pontiac site I have been a member of for a LONG time. A number of years ago he had the 65-66 factory tachometer cups reproduced for our full size cars and did a wonderful job. Everyone on the US site was impressed with his efforts and impressed by his skills in getting the whole process expedited. I would expect nothing less from him if you deal with him.

Firstly, I need to thank you 4speed427. I have NO IDEA who you are but perhaps you bought one of my cups I had made? I hope you are still satisfied with it.

For members here who may want one of those cups, I did get a new batch made some years ago but solely for a member on the Performance Years website. He was adapting brand new electronic tachs into the cups, and was using reproductions of the original 1965 & 1966 tach faces. ie, some with a redline, others without.  Right now I can't recall his name but a quick search on the PY site will show it.

So thank you.

Now in regard to my tail panels, I had an inquiry from a guy (Rob) in ENGLAND. He owns a 1965 Parisienne Convertible, one of only 47 made in Right Hand Drive for export around the world. I cannot imagine many of the 47 wound up in England? And how many would have survived??

I own myself exactly the same car so we had some affinity. As I was making a trip to London with my wife, I offered to pack the panels and take them with me. It all worked out really well, Rob got his panels, we had a lovely few hours together and I hope to meet him again one day.

If you have read this far, you can gather the panels and lights are now living in England so are no longer for sale.

Cheers

Ian

Hi Ian

My name is Carl Stevenson. I got one of those cups that like a number of guys did on that run. At that time you shipped them all to Brad Hansen (he is a member here as well as Performance Years) and he distributed them to the guys who had owned them. A friend of mine bought one of his repro tach and cup assemblies for his 65 Laurentian. A mutual friend bought the car from him last year and although I haven't seen it in person yet it sure looks great in the pictures.

That's a great story about the tail panel, how that all worked out.

Good to hear from you!

Hi Carl,  Thank you. Of course, I remember your name now and another of course is I had let Brad Hansen's name slip my memory bank.  I haven't seen Brad posting on the pY forums for a while but again, I'm not getting on there as much as I used to a while back.

For whatever reason I don't understand, PY seems to default to a crazy format every time I try and open it. I get fed up and abandon it, too hard to read!

I must send Brad an email to see how he is doing. I think he was pretty involved in his kids sport etc which was eating his time

Best regards from a pretty hot and uncomfortable Melbourne

Ian
