A great Canadian racer

Was watching Sportsman racing on Fox (Brainerd) yesterday and Brian Lohnes

(NHRA announcer) had some nice comments about Doug Doucette....biggrin.

Among the many sportsman racers Doug is a constant threat and very competitive racer.

Doug had (likely still has) a 66 Acadian (pretty sure I got that right) that he showed in the 80s. It was pearl white, with a min-tub... Super clean and straight car. I remember scouting the car, when I was 14-15 thinking it was going to be tough competition at the car shows when I pulled mine out!

I believe the Acadian is his friend Dwayne's car... now Blue. Doug worked on several street cars back then. Remember his Blown, 5 speed, Big Block Tubbed Camaro cruising Portage !!
I hear he is now working on his 60-ish style Vette (body was hanging in the shop for many years). I'm certain it will have some unique Engineering !!

Interesting! I think I have a photo of the white car from a world of wheels back in the day. What color was the tubbed Camaro?
