RE: Where's the 1970 full size owners?

Glad I could help Barry. Now we've likely created a picture posting monster!

I think I see the top corner of the power steering pump bracket on the lower side of the water pump in the engine pic, don't I???

Carl, I'd say you're correct about the ps bracket.

Todd, all these cars are "possibly" for sale. I say that because the owners of thr yard are kind of flaky to deal with. ( Aren't they all ) The cars are located in Redwater, Alberta. The name of the yard/business is Aerotique, and thit's a father - son team whose last name is Panchysyn, ( I think I spelled that right) Canada 411 should have a number for them.

The pictures were taken in November 2004. Sorry, I don't know what engine was in the 69 ragtop.
By the way, I'm 99 percent sure that the 454 car was a 4 speed. I'll continue so search for more photos.( Yes Carl, you may have created a monster!)

I'm logging off shortly and headed over to my brother's to watch hockey and drink some brews, so take it easy and I'll talk to ya'll later.

The engine from that 70 454 ragtop is now sitting in my shop. I don't own it but the owner does have 3 70 2+2's. It was not a 4 speed car.

Is the car still sitting there? I asked about the engine when I was there in '04, but he wanted to save it cause it was a 512 block.

My mom had a 70 4dr HT, gold with green interior.
350auto,
Was a pretty cool car.
My friend used to drive a 69 Grande Parisienne, was another nice car.
Sometimes I think about getting a 69 or 70 just for tooling around in.

I will post some pics in the next couple of days.
I've had them since the early 80s.
Both are in rough shape and I need to finish them.
65 is in original condition sans front clip.
Had them stored in Winnipeg last 13 years.
Glad to finally have them here.
Now the work begins, but I have no room in my garage for both cars and the room I'd need to work on them.
Dang!

Ok now why would someone move from Winnipeg to Barrie? Haven't you heard all the guys whining on here about how much it's snowed in Ontario this winter??? Not a problem here...

LOL
I actually moved to the Toronto area 13 years ago.
But got tired of that, so bought a house with a 2 car garage (for the Pontiacs, wife got the kitchen), in Barrie a few years ago.
Miss the Sunday night Portage Ave. cruises. Was a lot of great cars.
Didn't see that so much in the same way here.
They have cruise nights, but everybody gathers at a Canadian Tire or restaurant parking lot.
Makes for a weekly car show, which is always nice.

Most people (older) want to live in Ontario, because they dont have to WALK IN to the Hospital...

I'm in Ottawa and I have a 70 Parisienne Conv. Chevy 350 in it and a TH350. Its Orange with Black interior. Original colour is Gold but it was painted and used as the BOB FM car here in Ottawa before I bought it

I just bought it about a month ago. Used to be owned by CHUM Radio Ltd.... thats why its Orange

Any good VIN decoding sites or should I go through Pontiac Historical ?

I have a full size Chev as well, 67 Impala, 2 door Fast Back, red with Black Vinyl , 327, TH350
