Even if it is only a 350-2 barrel that engine will still have the same pistons as a 300 hp 350. It will have flat tops with the 4 valve reliefs. The difference in compression was in the cumbustion chamber size in the head 64 vs 76 cc.  For $800 you could probably part it out and end up with a free engine and tranny.

I hope she is going to a good home! 756 is an 8cyl Laurentian or Safari Delux and a 766 is an 8cyl Safari Estate. I also attached the chart.....

ya but we spent the whole day sunday between driving there cleaning snow removing gates and moving 8 foot sections of a cast iron fence changing flat tires trying to push it out of the back yard just to push it onto the trailer and drive back home, it made for a very long day! why cant i come across these things in the warm weather?

Where did you pick it up from? It wasn't at the normal resting spot?

Well it will be sacrificing itself for a good cause, so it will all be worth it in the end.  When and where did  you pick up your 454 wagon?  What is the history on that car?

That's too bad, there are at least 3 of us ( 73SC, Astro Jet, 65 Camino) on board here who live within a 10 to 15 minute drive of where that car was. I know I speak for us all, schedules permitting we would have loved to help you. I even have a big rig that we could have used to pull it out.

Yup, we all live within 5 minutes of one another and would be more than happy to help out any CPer's with their forays into the big smoke.  BTW, you won't need to bring a flak jacket either.  According to a recent CBC report:

"The Saskatchewan cities of Saskatoon and Regina continued to have Canada's highest crime rates in 2007. But both saw their rates dip last year, along with most urban centres across Canada.

Toronto reported the second-lowest crime rate of all the centres measured. One-fifth of Canada's murders are committed in the country's largest city, StatsCan said. But Toronto's murder rate per capita is still lower than Saskatoon, Regina, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg."

Besides, who would want to take on Big Ray and his honchos, especially when we show up in the Fleetwood?devilish.gif

Right down the street from all of us. You probably drove by Ray's and my house on the way off the DVP.

Good to see it went to a good home!
