I'm baaa-aaack!!!

In case anyone cares, or noticed, I was away for two days. Spent all day Friday in my favorite auto wrecking in Minnesota. A few shots for those like myself who love to window shop online! -------

For anyone needing a bucket seat bracket set along with a 4 speed hump for a Ventura/GTO---

I found a 66 Catalina 3 speed manual with the pedals still in it. This is pretty rare. The car had about 8" of water in it, but I wanted those pedals, so I threw in an old back seat and a 61 Impala trunk lid to lie on. Oh, and it also has a clock delete plate. I thought all 66 B bodies had a clock. Carl, does yours?---

68 Bonneville 4 dr ht with air, tilt, power bench and rear defog---

This has been there forever. 69 dr ht Impala, 396 2 bbl. The motor will be junk by now. I have removed a couple of pieces from the engine over the years. The car also has a tilt---

I may have posted these group shots last time I went. This is the area the Pontiacs are most prevelant---

In the foreground you see 2 64 GP's. The one on the right was a factory 4 speed car. The only thing remaining that would be unique for a stick car would be the steering column I guess. This must be a pretty rare car I would think. 2 cars behind the 4 spd GP is a 66 GP with the buckets and console still in it.

Great shots Carl! What else did you buy? I take it the owners are pretty good to deal with?

I got some clutch linkage pieces for my 67 Nova. Also, a 64 GTO bellhousing. From what I know, they are a one-year-only bellhousing.

Oh, no bolt for the heat pipe. I found one more tube, unattatched. I forgot to look for a hood bumper and battery clamp for you.

The throttle linkage looks to be a solid rod that looks just like the 2 barrel rod. I found one of each close together in the yard, and I never measured but they look the same.

This guy is good to deal with, but he also has told me the last 2 times I went that I am a good customer!!! Not sure if that is good or bad! It wasn't always this way. At first I found him hard to deal with, but I have gone there a lot and I think he realizes I am going to be fair with him as well as respect what he has. I close more doors and hoods than I open when I am there.

Sorry, this yard is in Minnesota.  I think I'd get one of these confused if I asked for Beaumont parts there.laughing.gif

We'll all pool our money, fly out to Carl's, and he'll take us to Minnesota!

You better believe it. Sounds like a good excuse for a CP gathering in Manitoba. Name the date! We have 35 acres if you don't mind 2 miles of gravel to get to it. Lots of room for everyone...

good pics carl!
that '69 impala has rare cruise. those 396 valve covers look to be in good condition, maybe you could grab them and their hardware next trip?

I am not sure why I have left them there so long. Maybe they aren't as good close up??? I forget, but I will check next time.

I already got most of the cruise stuff a few years ago. The only thing left pretty much is the transducer you see on the fender, and most of the used ones that have been sitting are seized. The cruise lever must have been bad, because the car has a normal signal lever in it.

 Great shots Carl!

I'd ask you to grab the tilt out of the 69 Caprice next time, but would it be worth it, as the car appears not to have a windshield? All the water coming down into the column would likely have done it no favour over time.

There's at least 3 or 4 69 tilts in this yard. It will likely run $125 to $150 by the time I get it through the border though. Not cheap. I can ask him how much next time I call him. I'm sure I can find one in a closed car there.

If you can find what you think is a exceptionally nice tilt next time Carl, I'm interested. Nice ones seem to go for in the 250 range on ebay. One that's been gone through would be about 400 anyway.
I'll make it worth your trouble if you can find me a good one Carl.

Cheers, Mark.

I will work on it Mark. I don't have any immediate plans to be back there, but I would say there is a good chance I will go by the end of July or so. Especially if I know someone is helping pay for the fuel if I bring them a tilt!

Meantime, please keep me posted if you happen to find one.
