Finally, after 3 or so years...

...she's rolling!
Now onto the most enjoyable phase of the resto...
On second thought...Anyone got a nice clean body we could drop on and try her out?

You guys that do these kind of restorations obviously don't live down 3 miles of gravel like we do!!!

Very good looking chassis you put together.

Hey, just noticed, what did you use for fuel line on the frame?
How long before the body is ready for the frame?

It's a Russel aluminum 3/8 line. Easy to work. Using Russel -6 line adapters for a braided line to the tank and fuel pump.
I'm hoping the body shell will be ready to mount this fall.

Do you have to change to line coming out of the tank or is it the same size?
What size motor and what trans are you mounting onto the frame?
When do you think that will be ready.
Looks great so far.

No, I should be able to 37 degree flare the pickup outlet to accept a -6 AN fitting since the outlet is 3/8 as well.
I have a HO350, done and waiting to go in. Still have to purchace a 700R4 and converter though.

Here's a shot of the motor,

Just cleaning the body in prep for metalwork. my homemade rotisserie is a godsend! Just flip it around to where you have to work. I do plan on keeping the repairs and cutting out to a minimum. When I open up the fenders, I'll support the body at 4 points underneath (as well as the 4 on the rotis).
Hope to have it done somtime late next year or 2010.

Here's a shot of the underbody as it sit's right now. Has some issues, but I feel it's completly repairable within my scope of knowledge. I have a buddy who is a long term bodyman/painter, he'll advise me as I go along
