My car is a 1966 GTO with a date coded 421. I have had the car 8 years and has run a best of 12.24 at over 112 mph. It is painted paint code P a 1965 Pontiac colour. It has a turbo 400 with 3.55 rear end.

Thanks Carl is a bit of a joke around my friends. We all car her Homo Purple I am ok with it. It is a fun ride to drive. I just put her to be for the winter not before doing a little smoke show for my neighbors.

Looks like you turfed the black vinyl top. Does it run faster without it biggrin

I put the vinyl top on this year. It ran 12.24@112.73smile mph in Norwalk new converter going it this winter. I want to run high 11s here in Edmonton. Best time in edmonton 12.25@111

I know about the Mopar Mod Top, but I think Mopar was first to offer something like that, and it was 69 or 70. So this was probably an add-on when it was a few years old. I do remember these tops being available from upholstery shops back then.

 The Colour is a 1965 GM Paint code P ( Iris Mist) for B.O.P or Evening Orchid Metalic for Chevrolet. I bought a pint of the original paint and had it matched to basecoat clear coat.

With the new convertor going in this winter it might creep into the high 11s Going from a 11 inch 2800/3000 stall to a 10 inch 3300/3500. Its a big heavy car with my fat a$$ in it. over 4200 lbs

New converter is in, 60 foot times are way better 1.68-1.73( From 1.80-1.85) Best time this year 12.16@110.96 in Saskatoon at 4000+ feet altitude. 12.18 at Edmonton same type of altitude. getting closer to the 11s

Take it to Mission, you should get into the 11's there with no problem.
