Canadian only Suffix Codes

As many here know, some Canadian cars had unique Suffix codes...some with Numbers instead of Letters, sometimes a mix of both too..

I have a few noted in an old service book and wondered if anyone else has some too?.

If anyone has an unknown Suffix loose engine w/ original Vin stamping or a car w/ the original engine, that could help clarify the applications for some of these too?.

Any interest in getting into these and laying them out in some kind of organized fashion here on C-P?.

Since we've been discussing the unique Canadian Suffixes in another thread, I looked for and found the old service book I had mentioned last summer and will post them here over the next few days..
Anyone else w/ any, lay them out here and we can sticky it?.
Also if anyone has a loose block w/ any of these Cdn. Suffixes that also has a Vin stamping on it, lets get the info together and maybe we can make some sense out of it all?.

Those are the standard known suffixes shared w/ US and Canadian cars...it's the unique Canadian numerical ones were looking for and trying to organize here like 21, 77 etc..

I have the old service Book here in my hands w/ the Numerical Suffix Codes..

The book shows the Numerical Codes for 1965 & 1966 only as I believe '66 was the last production year they were used but may have been used in 1964 and earlier?.

No offence to 68SD but before I lay them out here, can the above listings that have nothing to do w/ this subject on Canadian only Suffix Codes be moved to another spot...or is it easier if I just start another thread and post them there?.

Hullo Pete,
Visit this site;

Lot of detail regarding Canadian export Pontiacs etc.  It appears that 1968 was the last year that GM Canada exported CKD models. 4dr's only

I checked the suffix code on my 1966 C-10 . The engine is original to the truck. The complete numbering is 78  6500082 . Could you please check your book and see if this number is listed.  I checked mortec and no luck finding it there.

Thanks Al
