55 Safari Canuck or Yankee?

This is a rare unit I seen on kijij. I think these were all built in USA? I like 'em better than a Nomad. Any one know if they were built here?

My understanding is that all 55-57 Safaris were US built....with American Pontiac powertrains.

All 1955 Safaries are US built on the Americian chassis with the US Pontiacs drivetrains. In 1955 the only stationwagon built in Canada by the Pontiac division was the Pathfinder 2 dr. stationwagon. This stationwagon was marketed directly to compete with the the Chevrolet 150 Handyman stationwagon. The main difference between the two is the front clip, dash and the Pontiacs with the bigger six 261 verses the Chev 235. The rear quarter panels are identical with the Pontiac having it's own tailights to fit the Chevrolet style opening. Rear bumbers are also identical using the Chevrolet style,   Al
