I went digging through old cancelled cheques and bills of sale tonight.
So far I found----
1) 72 Impala 2 dr ht 402 TH 400 bought Feb 85 for $225 running
2) 68 Impala (Caprice roof style) 427 TH400 tilt, cruise, rear sway bar bought June 78 for $600 running, but as the bill says "as it is"!!!
3) 70 2+2 350 2bbl TH350 disc brakes, green/green, rallys with small caps, 12 bolt posi, power tinted windows, $300 and it drove
4) 69 Parisienne 427 TH400 convert, red, white top, running with a rod knock, bought Nov 81 for $375
5) 69 Grande Parisienne 4 dr ht, green/green, 427, TH400, air, cruise, windows, locks, trunk, seat all power, AM/FM floor mounted 8 track, fiber optics, 12 bolt 2.56 posi, $550 May 81 and drove it for the summer before stripping it. Was the Winnipeg GM Zone manager's company car in 69 and then sold to the Pontiac dealer right here where I live.
6) 73 Grand Am 455 2 door, sold new at the same dealership mentioned above, 1 owner car getting rusty. Paid $300 Nov 83 and it ended up being stripped. I can't recall for sure but I think I sold it complete at least!
7) 66 Grande Parisienne 396 factory 4 speed, factory transistor ignition and voltage regualator, power tinted glass, tach, power antenna, 12 bolt 3.31 posi, blue, white interior, paid $2500 July 81 and drove it about 20,000 miles until I sold it in 1989 to buy an organ for our house! Stupid, stupid, stupid
8) 67 2+2 396 ht, had an almost new 1/4 panel with the sticker still on the inside of it, paid $490 running nice Jan 79 and stripped it. Gave away the Trans Am honey comb rims that were on it and those same rims now command big bucks!
9) 67 Grande Parisienne 2 dr ht parts car, 396, buckets, tilt, underseat heater (never seen another), paid $50 in pieces minus engine and then paid another $25 once I found out the engine was in the barn all apart. May 82
10) 69 SS 396 Chevelle ht, TH400, wood wheel, power locks, power windows, AM/FM, tach and gauges. Paid $1400 running good and sold it to someone who rebodied it as it was quite rusty.
11) 66 Grande Parisienne 2 door hardtop 283, buckets, posi, AM/FM, tinted glass, bought at insurance auction for $85 May 79 and parted it out.
12) 67 Parisienne 283 , 4 dr ht, plain car except factory air. Paid $160 at insurance auction early 1976 and used a lot of the a/c pieces to put air in my 66 Grande Parisienne automatic car.
13) 1965 Acadian Canso SD, turquoise inside and out, 194 powerglide (not my current 65 SD) Paid $500 March 12, 1974 and kept it a year and a half before trading it on my 66 Grande Parisienne mentioned in # 12 above.
14) 1966 Grande Parisienne 2 dr 396 TH400, column shift tilt. Bought it running poorly (someone put on a different carb and used the wrong base gasket) for $250 around 1980.
There is still more (what I would call interesting cars in todays market) that I haven't found the bills for yet, but I think they are here somewhere.
Trip down memory lane for me doing this tonight, hope it's fun for you as well...

thats quite the list carl. mines boring compared to that. i remember as a kid my dad listing off all his cars that he had bought and sold, usually in the $20 range.
Carl, do you ever have dreams that you still have them, then wake up and get depressed when you realize you don't?
Oh, it makes me sad sometimes to think of all the big block cars I destroyed in the interest of scavenging the engine for myself or to resell. it's very unfortunate I had no room to store these all when I was young and foolish. Many of the engines, options etc ended up in good homes at car-nut friend's places and are still around today. At least that is some consolation.
I am going to edit the list if more come to mind...
I'm hoping the others will do their lists here too!

I'll go through my Bills of sale later, and maybe post some of the ones I let get away, That is, if I'm not too Depressed.

Not all in order and some were parted out.The car I had the most fun with had to have been the 74 runner 4spd.I beat on that car for two summers and it never let me down.I remember taking it to Ottawa for the NHOA meet and it seemed as if I had to stop at every gas station to fill er up.Those were the days!
Ha, good one! As a matter of fact, there is not likely one car on there that I didn't at least double my money on. Many of those now would just need a "0" added to get a more realistic value.

Cars and trucks over the years. had more can't remember alot because in BC i used to sell them when i went to sea and buy another used one when i came ashore. good old ICBC and no safeties. most of what i've owned is either trucks, 4X4 or winter beaters, hence the numerous Japanese small cars, but i've had a couple of land yachts

lots of bikes over the years. i didn't get a car license till my early 20's didn't need one in ottawa, not with the bus system. the only thing is over the years is that i always had a bike in the garage. i'm partial to the early kawasakis
Ok...here we go: 70 Buick Skylark (turned into GS clone) 71 Skylark 4dr (posi, trailer towing package) 69 Dodge Coronet (Texas Car-original Alpine White paint, black interior, factory AC). This one had a switch under the dash to cut all the lights except the headlights! I found bullets under the back seat! 65 Ford Galaxie 500xl. 390. 4 speed. I couldn't afford it's appetite for gas even when it was 49 cents/litre 81 Cougar (don't ask) 89 Cavalier RS (first new car-first car buying mistake) 70 Biscayne (a.k.a Plain Jane Biscayne) 250 6, power glide, 4 door slug 66 Mustang Coupe -Tahoe Turquoise, Aqua/White Pony interior. I had the window sticker-sold new at Broadway Ford in Oakland Ca. It was fresh from Arizona when I bought it. I cleaned the frame rails with windex! All the grease marks were clearly visible on the frame. 78 Cougar 77 T-bird 84 Chevy Pickup-from Georgia. Formerly owned by Georgia Peanut Farmer Rewiss Studstill (I swear- that was his name). I found an empty pouch of chewing tobacco and a "Piggly Wiggly" bag under the seat. On the inside of the box someone used it to figure out simple math like 49-21..
81 Toyota Corolla. A dealership trade in. No winters. I paid 400 and we drove it for 7 years 89 Chevy Sprint (wifes car 3cyl auto 4 door!) 89 Grand Am GT (infamous Quad 4) 97 Regal GS (Supercharged 3800- this car ran 14's until the trans blew up on my wife on her way to work..ooops-thank goodness for extended warranty. I had 7 grand in claims in one year!) 89 S10 78 Triumph Spitfire 58 Plymouth Belvedere 60 Pontiac Catalina 2 door hardtop-texas car. I miss this one!!! 63 Studebaker Lark 64 Studebaker Lark 83 Chrysler 5th Ave. 318, I liked this car. It was like riding on a cloud
I likely missed a few. This doesn't include the many cars I've had less than 3 months...
try these... then there's umteen cars i've bought and resold, parts cars, wife's cars(2 pontiacs in those!).... but not a single stinkin f##d!
I wrote one out somewhere of all that I've owned, but I don't think I want to list some. Couple that come to mind are a 66 Ford 4 door sedan, traded a guy a new set of seat covers for his car to get the Ford, and I still overpaid!
Also, cool truck was a 67 Dodge Power Wagon short box. It had a Dana 60 rear and 8 lug wheels. What a brute of a truck, built like a tank but the cab was crap!

I probably can't remember all my cars and I never had the luck that Carl had in owning all those rare big block Chevies and Canadian Pontiacs. But I've had a chance to sample some of them. Here is what I can remember. As you can see I'm into big Chevs & Pontiacs, with only a handful of other makes over the years.
The big block cars were always scarce where I live and none of the cars from the 60s & 70s lasted long (put it this way - by 1974 you'd be hard pressed to find many 1964 models still on the road; same for 74 models by mid 80s; and when I was driving my 88 Caprice wagon back about 3 years ago I only knew of 2 or 3 others like it around here that were still on the road. And of course all the cars that used to be abandoned in the country are all crushed now - I used to get lots of parts from those).
Anyway, here is the list - I'm sure I forgot something but there's 62 here; only 10 are not a Chevrolet or Pontiac.

I'm a bit embarrassed because I really don't have a list like everyone else, I've only owned 11 in 33 years of having a license to drive.
1973 Pontiac LeMans - the Hero Car purchased from 3rd owner $2,800 1975 Monza 2+2 V8 - my first car bought from dealer in '78 - $2,900 1976 Esprit - my wife's Pontiac 350 V8 car which I used as a daily driver from 81 to 85, purchased new from dealer stock $5,900 1981 X11 - brand new from dealer stock $10,400 1986 Monte Carlo SS - factory orderd brand new $15,700 1992 Bonneville - factory ordered brand new $29,950 1994 Buick RegalCustom- free car from wife's girlfriend, helped her purchase it from dealer when new. Currently has 248,000 km on the clock. 1996 Sunfire - ordered brand new sight unseen over the phone - wife's Christmas present in '95. - leased for $219/ month, sold it for $1,500 profit. 1998 Cadillac DevilleD'elegance- one owner car from dealer- $7,000 1999 GMC Suburban SLT K1500 - purchased brand new from dealer stock $58,750 2006 Dodge Ram short box 1500 - HEMI - leased for a month, got rid of it- far too dangerous to drive in big city and drank gasoline like a drunken sailor.

Here's a parts car I picked up that some of you may not know much about. I dabbled in Studebakers for a short period. Studebaker made some interesting models and their 289 V8 was a stout engine (no it wasn't a Furd engine) with steel crank, gear driven camshaft, high nickel block, available Paxton supercharger etc. When Studebaker shut down in SouthBend in the end of 1963, all production took place at the Hamilton Ontario plant. Since the Studebaker engine forging plant also shut down, McKinnon industries provided 283 Chevy motors to Studebaker. Here are a few pics of a 65 Daytona Sport Sedan that I picked up for $75 from a farmer in Burford, Ontario. The 283 was long gone but the Twin Traction Dana 44 rear end and larger sway bars were still in place. All V8 Studes used the stout Dana 44. Other interesting feature of this car was the transistorized ignition that also was standard on Daytona. There were something like 600 Daytonas made in Hamilton in 65. Too bad this one was too rotten to save. Not the prettiest car made, but you can buy them fairly cheaply and of course the SBC can be modified to really wake them up.
NEAT! I haven't seen a car that rotton since I left Ontario!!! Sorry Guys ^_^
