check the tire shops for "winter wheels"
don't think gm ever made a 15x8 plain steel wheel.

You will have to go with aftermarket for the 15X8 that will take a dog dish hubcap.

Only the corvette rally was 15x8 and measures almost 9 inches.   A 15x7 from a F41 77 up Caprice will hold, a P235-255/60R-15 quite nicely... ex tire man C2 p.s. the 15x8 rally painted black, with plain flat centre, can look nice...

you can also take a steel rim and have it widened, its a bit pricey though... i used 15x7's for my dog dishes... you could probably squeeze a 255 on a 7, but it would be tight and bulge a bit... i put my 12.5" ET streets on the back but i wouldn't race with that tire sqeezed on there...
