You know i always thought our political rules were like the U.S. You have to be born there to run for top office, yet Elizabeth May was able to run. Guess we are different in that respect. Nothing against her, but it just seems strange to me.
Ya, now you know why Toronto is so screwed up. Mayor Miller is born in San Francisco, doesn't seem right either.
Sure.I guess we had nothing else to spend it on,to end up in the same place we were!!

Depends on your political views I think. In a 5 party system there is little hope for a majority. The BQ has about 50 seats so that means any party needs 155/258 for a majority, that's 60% approval rating, never going to happen!
Harper advanced the ball for another first down, gained approximately 20 seats and 10 in all important Ontario, near bankrupted the NDP and exposed the Liberals as a downtown Toronto and Montreal Party with an embarrassing leader. He's got representation country wide so he has a defacto Majority for a good long time. He's moving towards the goal line first down at a time. On reflection it must be seen what an astute move calling the election was on his part. Two years maybe three more as Prime Minister.
