I sense a race-yer-boat day at Sparta next year!
Maybe we should throw some $$ into the pot for fastest luxo barge?

In that case I'll leave the CADILLAC Fleetwood at home and bring the CADILLAC Deville.

That car is D'Eville devilish.gif  off the line and pulls all the way to 6500 rpm's or speed limiter, whichever first occurs!

Not sure if it will smoke a Supercharged Electra though but we can see.

PS: Caddy Sales brochure says 0-60 in 7.5, Motor Week says SC Buick does 8.4. That's only a second behind or 88 feet......giggle.gif

Very creative, I like that you illustrated my point.  You are a happy buyer, you seek approval from your friends and family.  They all agree because they are nice people and now your a happier buyer.
Sometimes I speak from the viewpoint of a business man because I bought and sold vehicles to make a profit.  My business relied upon happy customers.  I used price as a tool and that in turn made happy buyers and me a happy seller.
As an old car guy, I buy old cars that make me happy.  I enjoy driving fast cars that command attention.  As you said about the Acadian, I would not give you $500 for any Fleetwood.  I always try to buy my cars for the lowest price but I don't buy cars because they are the lowest price.

So who wants to buy my 97 Deville? I need a STS with the higher HP than my Deville.
300 vs. 275.

No so fast, what wins a drag race HP or torque? Those LD8 Northstars are 25 HP less but the pack 300 lb ft.  Those L37 Northstars in the STS have 300 HP but 290 lb ft.

Don't forget the instant improvements which are available. Swag improves your results.

As 427Carl pointed out the keychains are worth 10% on your gas mileage. The Beaumont has one and gets at least 10% more than the 2+2 which doesn't yet.
Also the coffee mug if used correctly will get you 15% additional noise and if you use 32 decals you will improve aerodynamic drag by 8.6%.
The T-Shirts will improve horsepower by 1.79% per small size T-Shirt, but only if they worn in the car. The XL's are only good for .33% each.

The only thing I can prove is that if you drink a strong coffee from a Poncho mug before you go racing, your reaction times improve 30%..
