Perry's project cars, 69' Parisienne rag.

 Restorable?
Makes mine look pretty nice from the get go.
Regardless, it's always interesting to see they are still out there and being brought back into the light.

Out of 1000 or so 69' Paris' rags made, how many do you think are actually still intact?

The twin to that, 427 I crushed years ago was in a lot nicer shape than that, sadly.

If you count the ones that aren't complete dust, I'd guess about 20-30 are left.

There was a ragtop in Penticton, B.C. a couple of years ago with the same color combo. Maybe it is still there. I go there every summer. This year though, I did not look for it. It was a driver, but not in much better shape than in your pictures. If anyones interested, I can check on it next year and find out what motor is in it.

I sold a yellow with black convertible top 69 at the Barrie Flea a couple years back-I'm told it went to Texas, The chrome was beauty-interior was equal, body was done many times, but all together looking great for a driver-I added the 2+2 stripe and a set of rallys with correct caps.

there was a red 69 in a garage down the street from me but not sure if its still there, there is a red 68 a couple blocks away, amazing to think there were only 1000 produced not long ago it seemed like they were everywhere.

Yes Ken! "Last of the affordable sixties convertibles" $8250. wink

Todd, do you think that as little as 20 or 30 "decent" examples only still exist?

Sold $7400 no caps-never had so many people crawling over a car that I didn't think would sell fast ! owned it 6 days, your not saying it wasn't decent ? Bondo yes but together looking good for a driver.

Theres a really clean red one here too-but the guy claims to have spent $30,000 getting it that way

No, no Ken. I liked it so much I kept even the add. With what I've been through, I should have bought it. Mayfair Maize on black is nice! I'm sure it was a sweet car.

It had its share of patches and filler but looked pretty-I actually bought Todd's car last year because I remembered how well that one sold at Barrie-Todd's is a cream puff-ironically the caps that didn't go with the rag I think are on Todd's car now !

Although you kept it only a short time, do you happen have a picture of it?

I have with stripe and without but I'd don't have it before the rallys, I have no scanner but I can take a photo or copy it and mail it.

If it makes you feel better, it's in a storage yard. :) There seems to be a few nice Canadian Pontiacs here in Summerland, so I think this will be restored.
There's a 68 2+2 convertible in a storage yard 1 block away.
