You're not going to see that every day. Someone save it!

How much reproduction stuff is available for a 68' Cutlass? Would it be the same situation as a Canadian Pontiac.

I had a fellow want to trade me a 70 Cutlass S and a 71 Ragtop for my S10. The ragtop has a 455 in it but it isn't hooked up. He was going to put the boxed convt frame under the coupe. Coupe has buckets/console etc and a new full 1/4 and a half 1/4 on the other side. I thought about a trade but didn't want to be stuck with two cars that nobody wants. I'm not really into Oldsmobiles to consider restoring them. I like the 68-9's like this one better.

I think it's a lot better for Cutlass. The 442's help that.

Lots of repo stuff available for Cutlass/442, just about anything you can get for Lemans/Chevelle and don't forget, the frames and suspension components all interchange for A bodies.

I've heard the best cutlass chassis to go with is the 72'. It has far better front suspension geometry than what came before.

My son has a die cast Olds almost identical to that one his dresser. I am not going to show him becuase I just got that F word car for him and I know he would just have to have this. I really like the car too. A good High school buddy was into Old's, we went to school in his 64 Dynamic 88 every day, his older cousin had a silver 68 Cutlass S and then another cousin had a 72 442. His Dad (a non driver) sprung for a 75 Cutlass Salon 350 4bbl that he promptly put the 454 Caprice dual exhaust system on, so I know a bit about Olds by association. This car in restored condition will command a fair dollar and your going in cost on this one is incredible imo.

Would it share it's chassis with a Chevelle?
If so, a good frame if needed would be pretty easy to find, am I right?
I think you better let your son see it, c'mon!

The chassis from the Chevelle will work.

Is the rag salvageable or is it a parts car? It sounds like he was planning to take the best parts from the convertible and put them on the hardtop which already has new quarters on it.

We are getting off track-the one posted is a project convertible Shelby GT has listed in Toronto.

The hardtop and rag are different cars Todd can trade his truck for

That's what I was asking, is the 71 rag that is part of the Todd offer for the S-10 salvageable?

I've never heard that before. What is supposed to be different than 71 and older?

I had always thought they were the same.
