69 Impala Hamilton Ont.

Just for you Dave. Other than the rot near the vinyl top, the car looks solid. Good colour too!

ya, right. bel air has one 1/2, the other 1/2 is full of everything else.
wouldn't be surprised if this kijiji car has some floor/frame issues... probably some rust through under that vinyl.

I think the ##evrolets are OK as long as they they have the appropriate engines:
Astro Jet
Astro Flame
Econo ??
Etc
Or the owners display an appropriate level of appreciation for the Canadian built Pontiac, Beaumont and Acadians.party.gifcake.gifpopcorn.gifworship.gifworship.gifworship.gif

Hey, that's a good point. Did Pontiac use the 400's? Sorry for my ignorance, but my interests lie more in the 69 and down B bodies so I know little about the 70 and up cars.

Yes, from 70 up, the Chevy small block 400 was available in full size Canadian Ponchos.

Suffixes aside, aren't the '70 (& maybe '71) 400 SB's easily identifiable by the 3 freeze plugs on each side?.

they are pete, although i've seen later year 400s with 2, with the 3rd center hole undrilled. this '74 cast block has only 2 cut per side.
